drainage geonet

Composite drainage network (also known as 3D composite drainage mats) is composed of a three-dimensional plastic mesh with double-sided bonded seepage geotextiles, which can replace traditional sand and gravel layers and mainly been used for drainage of landfills, subgrades and inner walls of tunnels. In railway, highway and other transportation infrastructures, service life of the project has an inseparable relationship with its own drainage system and geosynthetics are an important part of the drainage system.

The advantages of integrating a geonet into your project are profound and multi-faceted. First and foremost is its exceptional hydraulic capacity. Despite being incredibly thin—often just a few millimeters thick—a geonet can transport volumes of water that would require a layer of gravel many times thicker. This translates into significant savings on excavation, material transport, and placement, drastically reducing the carbon footprint and overall cost of a project. Its lightweight and flexible nature makes it incredibly easy to handle and install, conforming seamlessly to uneven subgrades without losing performance.

Durability is engineered into its very core. Resistant to chemicals, biodegradation, and the long-term creep that can plague other materials, a geonet provides reliable performance for decades, even in the most aggressive environments like landfills, where it must handle leachate and methane gas. Its high compressive strength allows it to withstand immense loads from overlying soil, structures, and machinery without collapsing those vital flow channels.

The applications for this versatile material are vast and critical. Behind retaining walls, they prevent water pressure from building up and causing collapse. Beneath landfill caps and liners, they provide essential leachate collection and gas venting. Within green roofs, they ensure excess water is quickly removed to protect the roof membrane while reducing the soil depth needed. Under sports fields and plaza decks, they manage moisture to prevent frost heave and settling.

In essence, the drainage geonet is a perfect example of engineering smarter, not harder. It is a testament to innovation that delivers superior performance, reduces environmental impact, and provides unmatched cost-efficiency. By choosing a geonet, you are not just installing a drainage product; you are investing in the long-term resilience, safety, and sustainability of your structure, ensuring it stands strong for generations to come. It is the invisible force safeguarding our visible world.
