Smooth geomembrane is a double-sided and smooth anti-seepage material made mainly from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or low-density polyethylene (LDPE) through rolling or blow molding processes. Its core function is to isolate liquid/gas infiltration and protect the base surface. Its surface has no texture and presents a mirror effect, which is different from the granular design of rough geomembranes.

Precautions

Slope construction: When the slope is greater than 10 °, anchor trenches or roughened surface layers should be set up to enhance friction.

UV protection: Long term exposure in the open air requires the addition of a protective layer to delay aging.

Base treatment: Before laying, the site should be leveled and sharp debris should be removed to prevent punctures.
