Use a double bead hot melt welding machine to preheat to 180℃~220℃, and adjust the welding speed and pressure.
1. Hot melt welding method
This is the most widely used method and has the highest connection strength. It is suitable for thermoplastic geomembranes such as HDPE. It mainly includes the following steps:
Equipment debugging: Use a double bead hot melt welding machine to preheat to 180℃~220℃, and adjust the welding speed and pressure.
Lap treatment: Clean the lap surface (width ≥10cm), aligned and fixed, welding to avoid wrinkles or impurities.
Quality Control: The sample needs to be welded and passed the tensile test. The weld must be free of bubbles and slag inclusions, and be compacted after natural cooling.
Advantages: Good sealing and strong durability, suitable for large projects such as reservoirs to prevent seepage.
2. Adhesive Method
It is divided into solvent-based and adhesive-based, suitable for temporary repair or non-welding materials:
Solvent bonding: Roll after applying glue solvent, bonding width 5~10cm (pay attention to ventilation and anti-virus).
Odder bonding: Special adhesives need to be compacted after coating (rubber hammer or roller), which is suitable for concrete pasting and other scenarios.
Note: The environment needs to be dry and dust-free, and the adhesive selection needs to match the materials (such as water resistance requirements).
3. Special tape and KS hot melt adhesive method
Tape connection: Use special geomembrane tape (single/double-sided) to clean the surface and paste it, suitable for small-area repair.
KS hot melt adhesive: Apply after heating and melting, and after cooling, it forms a high-strength bond, but the operation is complicated by the tape.
Applicable scenarios: Priority is given when construction conditions are limited or rapid repair is performed.
4. Other methods
Overlap method: Only used for low-seepage requirements projects (such as roadbeds), overlapping 30~50cm is enough.
Folding method: Cross-overlapping more than 4 layers, and reinforced with concrete jet.
Summary of key construction points:
The hot melt welding method is preferred to ensure core anti-seepage performance;
The adhesive method requires strict control of environmental conditions and material compatibility;
Special materials (such as rough masks) require additional cleaning.
